VAG nv Automates Key Handovers for Scalable Rental Car Operations

VAG nv has provided automotive services across Belgium for over 50 years, managing everything from car rentals and vehicle sales to car washes and maintenance. They enter the PIN or display the QR code at the SmartBox outside the rental office to retrieve their vehicle key and start their rental.

VAG nv is currently integrating Keycafe directly into its rental software via API. This connection will sync rental bookings with key access codes, removing manual administration and allowing staff to direct their attention toward core operational tasks.

Implementing Keycafe enabled VAG NV to offer flexible, round-the-clock vehicle pick-ups for its rental fleet. Customers can now collect keys on Sundays, public holidays, and after normal business hours without requiring staff to be on location. This shift resolved the primary bottleneck in their rental process and delivered immediate operational improvements.
